About The Bakehouse
The Bakehouse is a filipino restaurant in Glendale Heights, Illinois. It is listed at 1504 Bloomingdale Rd, Glendale Heights, IL 60139, which places it among the local businesses of Glendale Heights that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under bakery, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Glendale Heights, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 9 amβ7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Bakehouse at (630) 510-8226; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 105 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Glendale Heights is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Glendale Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The young guy at the front was incredibly helpful and friendly. He even gave me a little extra since I bought quite a bit. The food is delicious, and I especially loved the Lechon Kawali! Highly recommended!

The food is disgusting here. The fried banana toron has hardly anything in it. The guy with the baseball cap and bunch of tattoos on his arm , he over charged me more than 50 bucks for the other 2 cooked food. He tried to be slick and not give me my change . This is the last time. I will not return. Donβt eat here. Food is not fresh.

As someone who moved from New York to the Chicagoland area, Iβve explored quite a few authentic Filipino spots, and The Bakehouse truly stands out! π΅πβ¨ The food is consistently delicious and feels very authentic, plus the prices are fair and reasonable πΈπ½οΈ. What really makes this place special is the warm and welcoming staffβtheyβre always so kind and friendly π. The owner is especially sweet and makes you feel right at home β€οΈ. Itβs become our go-to place for celebrations, and we always order their party trays for special occasions ππ. Highly recommend checking it out!

This was my go to spot whenever I go to the dentist. However today was a bad day when my husband ordered. The okoy was super stale. The maruya was deep fried prolly twice (hence why it was super oily). Their ube hopia did not taste my ube hopia. There was some stretching from the ube tooβ¦. Usually when I go itβs fresh but I think they reuse their foods (and maybe perished). Unfortunately we had to throw away all the food.

Saturday lunch and we had the eating area to ourselves. But lots of carry out activity during our visit. Both got combo plates and can of soda for $11 each. Great value. Couldn't tell you the proper names, but the vegetables with bitter melon, the pork one, and the squid one was very good. Also got some baked goods. Parking was limited.
